Amit Sheth has given several keynotes on topics related to Semantic Interoperability and Semantic Web, published books and papers on the related topics, lead a workshop and workgroups, and more importantly based on the research done in the LSDIS lab, he founded and managed as CEO Taalee (subsequently as CTO after it was acquired by Voquette and Semagix).  Taalee/Voquette/Semagix are credited with bringing one of the earliest Semantic Technology products for managing (organizing, searching, personalizing) digital content.  He directs the LSDIS lab and teaches the Global Information Systems and Enterprise Integration courses.
