Early registration Date: July 31st

The Fourth International Conference on Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS’99) is the premier event in Cooperative Information Systems. It is sponsored by the International Foundation in Cooperative Information Systems (IFCIS), and replaces the erstwhile international workshops on Interoperability in Multidatabase Systems (IMS) and the conference series on Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS & ICICIS).

The area of cooperative information systems is an interdisciplinary one, drawing upon concepts and techniques from artificial intelligence, databases, distributed computing, workflow systems, collaborative work, and human-computer interaction. The objective of the CoopIS conference series is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners in these domains to discuss scientific ideas related to cooperative information systems, and to describe experiences in building and using such systems.

This year CoopIS’99 is held in the heart of the historic city of Edinburgh.
