Kaarthik Sivashanmugam

I am an alumnus of the Large Scale Distributed Information Systems (LSDIS) Lab. I completed my Masters degree at the Department of Computer Science, University of Georgia in summer of 2003. My academic interests include Web Services, Databases, Enterprise Application Integration and Semantic Web.

At LSDIS, I was involved in the METEOR-S* project, which researches issues in Semantic Web Process Management by building upon techniques and technologies in Workflow Management, Web Services and the Semantic Web. I worked with Dr. John A. Miller (Major Professor) and Dr. Amit P. Sheth (Co-advisor).

*This work is the continuation of LSDIS's previous work called METEOR, which focused on large scale workflow applications for large enterprises and cross-organizational business interactions.
