Previous Projects

• InfoHarness
  Worked on the InfoHarness project at Bellcore (now Telcordia Technologies). It provided an information integration platform, tools and services aimed at providing integrated and rapid access to huge amounts of heterogeneous information independent of the type, representation, and location of information. Advanced search and browsing capabilities were supported without imposing the burden of restructuring, reformatting or relocating information on information suppliers or creators.

• GeoLens
  This was a follow on project at Telcordia Technologies which applied the InfoHarness Technology for Geospatial Information. It was funded by NASA under it's digital library and information infrastructure initiatives.

• InfoSleuth
  Worked on the InfoSleuth project at MCC and also at Telcordia. It is an agent based system that supports a community of agents collaborating together for information gathering and analysis over the internet.

• Smart Firewalls: Automatic Management of Security and Policy in Dynamic Networks
  Was member of the Smart Firewalls project team at Telcordia. The project was funded by the DARPA Dynamic Coalitions program and is aimed at declaratively specifying network policies and mechanisms for their enforcement via use of rule based technologies.

• OBSERVER
  Was one of the co-designers of the OBSERVER (Ontology Based System Enhanced with Relationships for Vocabulary hEterogeneity Resolution) which supports query processing in the face of multiple ontologies describing similar information. Techniques for translating concepts across multiple ontologies, by using inter-ontological relationships and minimizing the loss of information.
